More Vet Bills for Malachai

Ah, the last two months have been very busy! Not only did my A -Litter hit the ground on January 8, 2009.... my Malinois 'Malachai" decided he needed some attention. He was having problems eating and was vomiting a lot and acting lethargic.

One ER Visit, a dozen visits to the regular vet, multiple xrays, ultrasound, Subcutaneous Fluids and Special Diet....we finally realized that his initial diagnosis of "pancreatitis" was not correct. Unfortunately he'd gone about 3 weeks with barely being able to keep hydrated and food down before we did an exploratory surgury which discovered HALF A TENNIS BALL lodged in his intestines. He had surgery on 1/15 and these were just a few days after the surgery when he got home from the hospital....

He obviously lost a huge percentage of his body weight, which is normally pretty low because he was a parvo survivor as a puppy. Yes...this dog really can't catch a break!

He's been  on a liquid/mush diet for several weeks now, restricted exercise, etc. He's going so stir crazy but at least he's feeling better!
He made an appearance at the Garden Grove Dog Park opening last weekend where we were selling dog toys to raise funds to help pay his veterinary bills which totalled just shy of $2200.00

Here is a photo of him playing with his tug toy at the dog park opening! Well that is ..... until he started trying to shred it up and eat the chunks! He's hopeless!!!!

Puppies are doing really well and I'll post some website updates! All my dogs have their information up at my new website .... www.vombosenblick.com

And OCDOGLADY.COM got a new facelift this past  valentines day weekend!!! Hope you guys enjoy the new design.
